SAFFRON S Barker says she’s s living her nan’s dance da dream on Strictly – because b her family were too to poor for lessons.

She keeps telling me to sing this song I Have Confidence from The Sound Of Music.”

Brighton- born Saffron launched her online career at the age of 14. She now has two million subscribers to her vlog plus two million followers on Instagram.

Last night she and pro-partner AJ Pritchard, 24, danced the salsa to Instruction by Jax Jones.

She’s the youngest of this year’s celebrities and also boasts the most impressive dance injury.

“I pulled every ligament in my bedroom!” she told the Strictly Come Dancing 2020 annual.

“Genuinely, I was just completely messing around. I don’t even know what we were dancing to – probably Justin Bieber. I sat down and couldn’t get up. I had to stay in hospital for three days.”

Saffron briefly attended jazz and modern dance classes when she was eight. She is following in the footsteps of fellow influencer Joe Sugg, who made the final, and he has been voicing his support.

“Joe told me to just enjoy the moment. But it’ll be my mum I look to for advice. There’s no one I trust more than my mum.”

Mum Wendy was the only one she told before her name was officially announced and they devised a secret code.

“We referred to it as ‘The Dream’ when we were out in public before everyone else knew, as it really was a dream,” says Saffron. “I’ve always wanted to do the show. I can’t believe it’s happening.”
