Unai: We’ve nothing to be proud of

-

UNAI EMERY admitted he wasn’t “proud” of ARSENAL’S display in their 1-1 draw with WOLVES.

The Gunners manager is coming under increasing pressure and Raul Jimenez’s leveller only turned up the heat on Emery.

He said: “We are not proud of our result. After the first goal from Pierre-emerick Aubameyang we wanted to manage the result but we didn’t do that.”

NEWCASTLE finally found their shooting boots to earn a 3-2 victory at WEST HAM.

But Hammers goalscorer Robert Snodgrass admitted the latest defeat was a “reality check” for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

Snograss said: “It’s a bad result and it is a performance that isn’t West Ham-like.

“We need a reality check and need to know that we need to start getting points on the board. We can’t give teams a three goals start.”

NORWICH’S poor run of form continued after Leandro Trossard inspired BRIGHTON to a 2-0 win.

Drop

Canaries keeper Tim Krul (left) said: “Brighton beat us fair and square – we had a good chance in the first half and maybe another day that chance will drop in.

“This isn’t like the Championship where half-chances go your way.

“We have to get our confidence back because you notice after a few chances the confidence goes.

“We need to believe in the philosophy like we have for the past 16 months.”

SHEFFIELD UNITED’S impressive start continued as John Lundstram’s double helped sink BURNLEY 3-0.

Lys Mousset assisted all three first-half goals as John Fleck also weighed in.

Blades manager Chris Wilder is refusing to get carried away and said: “We will have poor results and difficult days in this division because of the level we’re at.

“If it’s someone else’s day you hold your hands up.”
