Despite Alexandre Lacazette’s late strike to rescue a point, the struggling Saints left the Emirates frustrated despite earning a share of the spoils.

Following the 2-2 draw, Saints midfielder Ward-prowse said: “We dominated the game and put Arsenal under pressure.

“We’re kicking ourselves. It’s painful to think if we had hung on for a couple of minutes more we would have had all three points.”

Emery (below), who once again exiled controvers­ial midfelder Granit Xhaka, saw his team put in another poor performanc­e and they were booed off at the end.

WOLVES beat 10-man BOURNEMOUT­H 2-1 thanks to first-half goals from Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez.
