KILLER TO GET Xbox FOR XMAS

Paedo monster brags as he recovers from jail attack

- By Dan Warburton

A PERVERT who stabbed a girl to death has bragged he’s getting an Xbox for Christmas in jail.

Stephen Nicholson boasted he will be able to play with the gadget while recovering from a beating after cons found out about his vile crimes.

The ex-care worker was jailed for at least 33 years for raping and murdering 13-year-old Lucy Mchugh.

Nicholson, 25, is in top security Wakefield prison where he mentioned the £289 gaming console in a letter.

“I thought an X Box would help pass the time whilst I’m locked away in my cell, plus I can play DVDS on an X Box so won’t have to buy a DVD player,” the paedophile wrote.

“They don’t let us play online LOL. We have no access to the internet, only the prison officers have internet in here.”

Nicholson revealed he’d been ambushed by inmates who threatened to cut his throat after reading about him.

“They were sat on the wing reading the newspaper as I walked,” he wrote.

“Within a couple of seconds I had about 10 men stood around me.

“One of them threw a punch that hit me in the mouth then a prison officer put me in a cell and locked the door and a guy came to the door, pulled a knife out and said he was going to cut my throat open when my door was opened.

“The prison put the wing on lockdown so everyone got locked in their cells.”

Nicholson was jailed in July after luring

Lucy to woods and stabbing her 27 times in July 2018.

He first raped her when she was 12 and carried on abusing her for more than a year while living as a lodger at her family home in Southampton.

The beast, who had been convicted of abusing another schoolgirl in 2012, then killed Lucy to silence her when she threatened to report him.

Nicholson was dubbed the Facebook Killer because he refused to hand police his password – keeping messages to his victim secret.

The case sparked calls for reform of social media policies after evidence from his account was deleted.

By the time police got access, all that remained was a record of communication between him and Lucy, but no content.

The judge who sentenced him at Winchester Crown Court in July this year said: “This was a pitiless attack on a child following months of sexual exploitation.

“The prosecution has described it as an execution and I am satisfied this is correct.”

Wakefield jail is dubbed Monster Mansion because of its notorious inmates, who have included Soham murderer Ian Huntley, Charles Bronson and child killer Stuart Hazell.

Despite Nicholson’s letter, seen by the Sunday People, a spokesman for the Prison Service said: “There’s no record of Mr Nicholson being assaulted while in custody nor of him being given (or plans to give him) an Xbox”.

A Prison Service source said the lifer would be allowed to purchase items subject to good behaviour inside but would be completely barred from the

internet.
