Love chase at 100mph Footie legend says they are ‘just pals’
A BOY racer was chased at 100mph after driving past the man whose girlfriend he had slept with.
John Carey, 27, was spotted in his Vauxhall Astra VXR by angry Bradley Kitching, 24, who spun his Mini Cooper around and gave chase.
Both souped-up cars were bumper to bumper as they roared between 80-100 mph through 30mph streets in York.
Kitching crashed into a pool, seriously injuring two passengers. Carey also crashed and his car burst into flames. Kitching admitted causing injury by dangerous driving and was jailed for nine months at York crown court.
Carey was cleared of dangerous driving but admitted an insurance offence and was discharged.

And he has also been seen holding hands with Janet and enjoying meals and drinks with her at a nearby restaurant as well as at his own pub – which he bought last year and is just a few minutes’ walk from her home.
Frank Snr, 71, last night told the Sunday People the pair are just “big friends”.
But a source said: “Frank is often round Janet’s and they’ve been seen holding hands together. They look very close.” England star Frank Snr secretly fathered kids Sophie and John with Janet during a long-term affair in the 1970s.
Sophie was conceived just a couple of months after Frank Jr’s birth and her younger brother John five
years later, while Frank Snr lived a double life behind the back of wife Pat. She was the twin sister of Harry Redknapp’s wife Sandra and died of pneumonia in 2008.
Frank Snr raised Frank Jr and his older sisters Claire and Natalie in Romford, Essex, and sent them to private school.
But he initially kept his name off Sophie and John’s birth certificates while they were growing up in a nearby terrace house, eventually adding his name when they were re-registered in 1995. The affair was made public in 2004 – which is also when Frank Jr and his mum are understood to have found
out about it.

When asked about Janet this week, Frank Snr said: “No, no, we’re friends... big friends... but, you know, that’s as far as it goes.
“I do kiss her when I say bye-bye to her, I’ve gotta be honest with you, yeah.
“I’ve known her from years ago... you know the story.
“I’ve got a pub near her and I see her around sometimes and do keep in touch with her.
“But, no, do me a favour! Not for me, mate!”
Representatives of Frank Jr did not respond to requests for comment.
