Watch out for Traore says Matt

- By Neil Moxley

MATT DOHERTY has warned Liverpool they will need to keep ‘both eyes open’ when Adama Traore is about.

The former Barcelona trainee sparked Wolves’ comeback against Manchester City with another powerful performance.

Traore struck the first goal from the edge of the area, and then robbed Benjamin Mendy before slipping the ball across the area for Raul Jimenez to stab the equaliser.

Doherty (below) grabbed the winner in the dying seconds to end a remarkable game in Wolves’ favour.

And when the Ireland international was asked about the Reds keeping an eye on Traore he said: “To be honest, I think they’ll have to keep both eyes on him.

“He’s in the form of his life at the moment and it’s a pleasure to be playing alongside him.

“He’s been coming inside and teams don’t know what to do. He’s linking up with Raul and getting a lot of assists and goals.”

Wolves skipper Conor Coady paid tribute to Traore’s input, and added: “He’s a massive threat – against anyone. Look at how he performed against Manchester City.

“Every team we come up against is doubling-up on him. He’s finding different ways now of beating players.

“Whether he goes inside, comes back or goes on the outside, he’s making good decisions. He’s learning every single day.

“It’s not been down to anyone else but himself. He’s very critical of himself and the way he’s worked to improve has been great to see.

“He works so hard. It’s a pleasure to have him at the club. He’s reaping the rewards.”
