They think it’s all over priced
England fans charged £12 extra for printed tickets
EURO football chiefs are being accused of fouling fans by demanding extra for printing match tickets.
Supporters are already shelling out between £42 and £156 to watch England in their three group stage games.
The tickets for the June ties are being sent electronically, via a mobile phone app, but fans will be stung for €15 (£12.73) more for a printed ticket.
They are marketed as souvenir tickets and will not arrive until after the tournament finishes on July 12.
Matthew Laidlow tweeted: “Ticket for Euro 2020 cost €50. UEFA wanting €15 for an actual paper ticket.”
Another user calling themselves Smileysmile wrote: “A post-match ‘Souvenir Ticket’ can be purchased for an additional €15. This isn’t a rip-off it’s blatant exploitation of football fans.”
Platinum
An advert on UEFA’S website says: “Fans with mobile tickets who would like a souvenir of the match have the option of requesting souvenir tickets for an additional fee of €15.
“Souvenir tickets will be delivered to the address provided in your ticket application after the end of the tournament. A souvenir ticket will not give you access to the stadium; only the mobile ticket can be used for that purpose.”
Despite ordinary tickets for Euro 2020 selling out, VIP hospitality seats were still available last night – at a huge mark-up.
Platinum package slots for group games at Wembley are £2,840 per person. Should England, captained by Harry Kane, make the July 12 final, the cost of these tickets will soar.
The prestige platinum experience will be £19,873 per person, with £13,706 for the gold, £10,622 for the silver and £7,966 for a
2020 club deal.
