Gandy’s phwoar-ty

- By Kelly Jenkins

HAPPY birthday to phew! David Gandy says he is relishing middle age as he hits 40.

The world’s top male model, who celebrated the milestone on Wednesday, says: “Ageing isn’t a problem to me.

“I’ve always been a bit of a grumpy old man so now I’m getting to the age where I can be an actual grumpy old man.”

David shot to fame posing in white briefs for Dolce & Gabbana in 2006 and has made

£12million fortune from his chiselled good looks and toned physique.

A scientific study claims he has the “perfect” male face but the women who swoon over him don’t need to be told that.

Yet behind the beauty is a sharp business brain – and

David, who quit uni to model, plans his moves years ahead.

“There is always a five-year strategy behind everything,” he says. “It’s like chess, you’re positioning things all the time to get to where you want to be.”

David – whose ex-girlfriends include former Saturday’s singer turned Radio One DJ Molly

King and Love Island’s Laura Whitmore – has settled down with London barrister Stephanie Mendoros and the pair welcomed daughter Matilda in December 2018.

David gushes: “I love cooking, I love dates, and being with my girlfriend. We like to keep things romantic all the time. When everyone is forced to be romantic on

Valentine’s Day, we try to do it every other day apart from Valentine’s.

“I just love cooking and opening a bottle of wine. We’ve got a small puppy and so she’s around the house annoying us and eating the bits from me cooking.

That’s bliss to me.”
