KATE MODEL Meet the showbiz kids on her books
KATE Moss runs one of the UK’S top modelling agencies – but she’s known most of the beauties on her books since they were babies.
While Kate was plucked from obscurity at 14 after being scouted at an airport, her hottest young stars are the kids of her
A-list chums.
A source said:
“Her agency is like a who’s who of showbiz kids.
Kate was spotted but most of her stars she found when they came round to her house.”
Kate, 46, set up her agency in 2016 hoping to turn the focus of her career to finding fashion’s future faces. And she didn’t bother looking far.
The Kate Moss Agency includes the granddaughter of Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards, Ella, as well as the daughter of The Clash guitarist Mick Jones, Stella.
Wolf Gillespie, son of Primal Scream frontman Bobby, also poses for her. As does actress Sam Morton’s daughter Esme Creed-miles.
All of them are Kate’s celeb mates. Elfie Reigate was Kate’s first signing and was also a bridesmaid at her 2011 wedding to Jamie Hince. Her mum is nutritionist Rosemary Ferguson, who happens to be Kate’s best pal.
Elfie made her catwalk debut at Paris Fashion
Week and has been in Vogue and Tatler.
Kate’s pals mean everything to her, saying in one interview: “I like hanging out together with my friends and our children who have all grown up together, we love holidaying together too.”
The biggest star at her agency is singer Rita
Ora, 29, and one of her tallest is 6ft 3in Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie, 41.
Kate also has her own daughter Lila Grace,
17, on the books.
Lila has been in her dad
Jefferson Hack’s magazine Dazed and Confused and fronted this year’s sunglasses campaign for Miu Miu.
And it is all paying off for Kate, who has been on the cover of British Vogue 43 times and is now a contributing fashion editor.
She has a £65million fortune and paid out more than £1million in fees to models in the first year alone.
Stella brought in the cash working for Prada, while Ella appeared in Vogue and has been the face of Burberry and Miu Miu.
Esme Creed-miles is also an actress, playing the lead role in Amazon series Hanna, but she has modelled for luxury magazines. Wolf has posed for posh fashion house Celine and has been a cover star for a mountain of men’s mags.
The agency had increased staff from three to five to help cope with the increased workload and profits rocketed by £600,000 last year to £1.7million.
But Kate reckons her agency is not just about mates and looks.
She said: “I don’t really want pretty people. I want people who want to sing and dance and act. I want to create stars.”
