Neal says sorry over Leno clash

-

mass brawl and both clubs will be in hot water after the huge coming-together broke new behind-closed-doors rules.

Maupay said: “I never meant to hurt him but some of the Arsenal players need to learn some humility especially one of them.

“He was talking a lot in the first half and the second when they were 1-0 up as well. But they got what they deserved.”

Maupay says the clash which KO’D

Leno was accidental, adding: “At halftime I went to Arteta to apologise as I never meant to injure the keeper.

“I just jumped to get the ball and when he landed he just twisted his knee. I apologised to their team and to him as well and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Leno appeared to blame Maupay, pointing the finger as he was stretchered off, but Arsenal boss Arteta cleared Brighton’s £20million signing of blame.

He said: “I believe no player has an intention to hurt anyone and in this case it’s the same. It was just unfortunate.

“It doesn’t look good and he is in a lot of pain. We will check the extent tomorrow. I think he has a hyperextension of the knee so we have to assess the damage.”

WATFORD hero Craig Dawson was as surprised as anyone after rescuing a lastgasp point in the dramatic draw against

LEICESTER.

The Hornets defender broke his duck with an acrobatic overhead kick in injurytime to cancel out Ben Chilwell’s stunning opener moments earlier.

Dawson said: “It’s something you practise in training and it doesn’t go in very often. I’m delighted with my first goal. It was obviously a very important goal and it was good to get a point.”

Chilwell admitted his Champions League-chasing team-mates were sorry to only leave with a point and said: “We looked the fitter of the two teams. We are disappointed with the goal at the end.”

WOLVES pair Raul Jimenez and Pedro Neto sunk WEST HAM late on.

Jimenez’s 14th of the season broke Javier Hernandez’s record for the most goals by a Mexican in a Premier League season. Hammers boss David Moyes said: “We came up against a good team.”
