She confesses on live telly
WILL Smith’s wife Jada has confessed live on air to having an affair with a rap star 21 years her junior.
The 48-year-old actress sensationally confirmed to Bad Boys actor Will her fling with singersongwriter August Alsina, 27.
The tense conversation was broadcast to millions on the couple’s Red Table Talks show which is shown via Facebook web TV.
Jada refused to apologise for her actions, insisting the romance with Alsina was justified because Will had “kicked her to the kerb”.
Double Oscar nominee Will, 51, said: “The fact I am speaking to you again is a miracle”.
Difficult
The mother-of-two told how she fell for R&B artist Alsina, a friend of her 22-year-old son Jaden.
Jada said: “Four and a half years ago I started a friendship with August and we actually became really, really good friends.
“You and I were going through a very difficult time.”
Will replied: “I was done with your a**.”
Jada hit back: “I was done with you. We broke up. You kicked me to the kerb.
“We were over. It was a definite. From there as time went on I got into a different kind of entanglement with August.”
Will pushed his wife to clarify what she meant by entanglement.
She said: “It was a relationship absolutely. I was in a lot of pain and very broken.
“I just wanted to feel good. It had been so long since I felt good.”
Alsina has claimed that Will gave him permission for the fling.
But Jada and Will deny that. Jada said: “August could see it as permission because we were separated amicably and I think also he wanted to make it clear he’s not a home wrecker because he’s not.”
Jada broke off the romance to try to save her 23-year marriage.
Will says he and
Jada are now “working through it, fighting and therapising”.
But he added: “This ain’t for the weak at heart. I wish it could be all magic and miracle.”
