MIXED martial arts star Conor Mcgregor has been quizzed by French cops on suspicion of attempted sexual assault and indecent exposure, it was reported last night.

The boxer, 32, is said to have gone voluntarily to police after an incident at a bar in Corsica.

Mcgregor – who denies the claims – was seen relaxing on a yacht off Calvi with his fiancee Dee Devlin, 33, and son Conor Jack Jr, three, on the day of the alleged assault.

French media say the case involves a “young woman” and cops visited Mcgregor on his personalised Prestige 750 yacht.

It is said they asked him to attend the police station and he cycled to it.

A statement from the prosecutor’s office said: “Following a complaint filed on September 10 denouncing acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition, Mr. Conor Anthony Mac Gregor (sic) was the subject of a hearing by the gendarmerie services.”

The retired fighter, dubbed “The Notorious” is one of the highest earning UFC stars ever, worth about £90million.

He had been on holiday in Corsica amid rumours that he is planning a comeback. The Irish dad of two proposed to Dee over the summer and has posted happy holiday snaps of them.

Police quizzed him hours before he had been due to take part in a water bike charity race from Corsica to Monaco with Princess Charlene of Monaco.

Mcgregor’s manager Audie Attar said: “I am furious and issue a strong and clear warning: Conor Mcgregor is not and will not be a target for those looking to get a headline or payday.”

Mcgregor’s a t t orney Emmanuelle Ramon called the allegations “abusive” and said that her client was released without charges being filed.
