Murder probe over missing Bennylyn
A MAN was last night charged over the disappearance of a young mother and a child.
Police said the 50-yearold had been charged in connection with two deaths. He is due to appear in court in Dundee tomorrow.
Bennylyn Burke, 25, was reported missing last Monday. She was last seen at her home in Bristol on February 17.
Police issued an appeal for help to find her on Wednesday and said she was believed to have travelled north.
Yesterday, forensic officers began combing a £240,000 five-bedroom home 440 miles away in Dundee, Scotland, after arresting a man.

Specialist units used an ultraviolet light in an upstairs room and set up a tent in the front driveway.
They are believed to be looking for two bodies.
Detectives also carried out door-to-door enquiries throughout yesterday.
Det Supt Graeme Mackie, of Police Scotland’s major investigation team, said: “We are now treating the disappearances as a murder investigation and I would urge anyone with any information to please come forward and speak to us.
“This is a complex inquiry involving both local officers in Dundee and specialist resources from across Scotland. Next-ofkin have been updated.”
