CHRIS HUGHTON and Thomas Frank both claimed Premier League referee Graham Scott got huge calls wrong in this battling draw.

Promotion-chasing Brentford dropped vital points after leading for the second time in five days to damage their chances of an automatic spot.

And Bees boss Frank pointed to a “clear foul” on Mathias Jensen in the build-up to Filip Krovinovic’s second-half equaliser and first goal for the club.

Earlier Ivan Toney had won and scored a penalty Hughton described as

“soft” for his 28th goal of the season after a tangle with Gaetan Bong.

But the Forest manager was angrier about the failure to haul David Raya up for what looked a clear handball outside the area.

Hughton said: “It was a poor decision not to give the handball outside the box from Raya. I found it almost impossible to see how the referee and linesman between them have got that wrong. And for their penalty… there are numerous times it will happen and it’s not given.

“For me, it’s soft. And for the Alex Mighten ‘diving’ incident, I didn’t think it was a penalty or a booking.

“It was a tough start for Gaetan Bong with the pace of (Bryan) Mbeumo and Toney. You look for character after giving away the penalty – he showed it.”

Frank, whose side have dropped 18 points from winning positions, said: “It was a clear foul before their goal, but I decided three games ago not to go mental about refereeing decisions.

“It should easily have been 3-1 or 4-1 with the chances we had, we hit the bar and the post.“

The Bees took the lead in the 12th minute. A Bryan Mbeumo corner saw Forest defender Bong holding down Toney.

Scott gave the penalty, and the striker sent Brice Samba the wrong way.

Scott could easily have given another spot kick against Bong after 23 minutes but the Brentford man stayed on his feet.

Brentford then hit the woodwork twice as Vitaly Janelt’s effort bounced on to the bar, and Henrik Dalsgaard stabbed the rebound on to the post.

In the second half Bong made some amends by putting in a cross in the 63rd minute that fell for Krovinovic for the Serb to fire into the net.
