AS James Bond he survived being tortured a few times.

But Sir Roger Moore would have struggled to sit through his granddaughter’s violent movie debut, she reckons.

Ambra Moore, 22, is tied up before killing her on-screen girlfriend in new gangster thriller Nemesis, also starring former Eastender Billy Murray and Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott.

Rising star Ambra said: “I think granddad would find it quite difficult to watch because of all the torture.

“He’d find it difficult to see me in pain but would definitely enjoy the fact that I was in a film with Billy Murray and all the gangsters. He would be proud of me.”

Ambra recalled how late film legend Sir Roger encouraged her early acting ambitions by watching her school plays and teaching her poems. “One poem was If by Rudyard Kipling. Just watching him recite it helped me,” she said.

Now his films – including a record seven as 007 – bring back happy memories of the suave superstar, who died of cancer aged 89 in May 2017.

Ambra said: “The Spy Who Loved Me and Live And Let Die are my favourites. I feel so grateful that when I am missing him I can just watch one of his films. “When I was little I would see my granddad in the Bond films and would think, ‘I’m so lucky, I’ve got two granddads’, one that is in the Bond films and one that I see at home.

“The real one was of course the best.” Ambra began in the film business by being a runner for Daniel Craig during the filming of 2015 Bond flick Spectre.

She added: “When he was off set he was lovely, he was always making jokes.

“He didn’t know my granddad was Roger Moore but he caught on when my dad [actor and producer Geoffrey Moore] came to visit.”
