HARRY Redknapp is raking in almost as much as the average Premier League footballer – by playing the property game.

The ex-soccer boss and wife Sandra run firms that made £2.6million in the past 12 months, working out at £50,000 a week.

The bonanza is detailed in accounts for property outfits HJR Enterprises Ltd and Pierfront Developments Ltd.

The bank balances of the two firms have nearly doubled in a year, from £2.7m to £5.3m. HJR, which manages building projects, has revealed a £1.2m upsurge in income, while Pierfront’s retained income rose from £300,000 to more than £1.7m.

A source said: “Harry’s proving himself to be just as successful in the property game as he was in the beautiful game.

“He’s a shrewd operator and does his research, just like he did as a manager. He’s a winner in everything he does.” Harry, 74, retired from football in 2017 following a successful career managing a string of clubs, including Tottenham, West Ham and Southampton.

He won millions of new fans when he entered ITV’S I’m A Celebrity…get Me Out Of Here! in 2018, winning the show to be crowned King of the Jungle.

He later signed a £500,000 deal to star in sports-based TV ads for Mcdonald’s, and took part in a money-spinning 32date UK tour talking about his football career and time in the jungle. He went on to whip 13 England legends back into shape for ITV series Match Fit – and is now being tipped to appear in Eastenders.

Harry grew up in Poplar, East London, where his dad worked as a docker, before signing for West Ham in 1965.

He is believed to have built up a personal fortune of £14m and owns a mansion in millionaires’ playground Sandbanks, near Poole, Dorset, where he lives with Sandra, 73.

Our source added: “Harry has come a long way since his childhood in the East End. He’s a real grafter and he deserves everything he’s got.”
