- By SIMON DEAN simon@ sundaysport. co. uk

THE row over new-shape Toblerones took a very violent turn last week when a brawl erupted over the Swiss-themed treat in a newsagent’s.

Fans of the chocolate bar reacted with outrage last week when makers Mondelez reduced the number of “peaks” in 400g and 170g bars in a bid to cut costs.

Punches

The new- look bars have been blasted as “f** king ridiculous” by many choc fans and when rumours circulated that a supply of old- style Toblerones were on sale at Adbul’s newsagents in BRIT actress Rosamund Pike, 37, has revealed she had an unusual method when it came to rehearsing her graphic sex scenes for a film… She warmed up with a kiddies DOLL! Rosamund told Graham Norton: “I rehearsed with a Dora the Explorer doll in my back yard, probably in full view of the neighbours!”

The 37- year- old played the manipulative and unhinged Amy Dunne in hit thriller Gone Girl to perfection.

And it wasn’t just practising her intimate moves that she focused her attention on ahead of filming.

Rosamund also got violent with lumps of meat at a butcher’s shop to replicate Anne’s killer instinct.

She told Graham: “I’d never cut anyone’s throat, so I went to a local butcher’s and with great determination set about the carcasses with a Stanley knife – in full view of customers.”

Manchester, purists flocked there to stock up. But the rumour was false – leaving owner Abdul Aziz with more than a dozen hardline Toblerone fans in his shop – baying for BLOOD.

Abdul told Sunday Sport last night: “Customers who buy Toblerone are normally very placid and well- behaved – not like the sort who buy Topics.

“But feelings are running high at the moment, and people

Intimate

MELEE: Angry crowd turned nasty at city centre shop became very angry when I told them I only have the new- style bars. There was absolute uproar!

“My greetings card display was pushed over and several cans of Panda cola got dented in the melee.

“There was very bad language, pushing and shoving and even some punches thrown.

“The makers of Toblerone obviously don’t care that the decisions they make in their gold- plated boardrooms have consequences at retail level.”

Mondelez said it had to make a decision between changing the look of the bars or raising its price. S- EXPLORER: Rosamund tried out kid’s doll
