Mini rail fan axes site over ‘ paedo’ slurs

MODEL railway fan Geoff Boone has been forced to take down his mini- train website… because of a barrage of online abuse.

Geoff, 47 ( above), posted pictures of his fave model engines, close- up snaps of his best model stations and videos of his 500- foot layout in action.

The single council accountant, of Middlewich, Cheshire, even had sections on his website offering other modellers tips and advice for kids on how to get into model railways.

Geoff last night told Sunday Sport: “I had all sorts of online abuse. It started off quite mild with people saying my track was ‘ rusty’ or my engines were painted wrong.

“But then it stepped up a gear, and people started saying that I had the junior section on my website because I want to touch kids on the bottom.

“I know who’s behind this, though. It’s those scum railway hobbyists from down Kidsgrove way who’ve never liked me.” FANS of 80s pop group Go West were thrilled when what they took to be a tribute to their heroes were booked to play at their boozer.

But they were stunned to find the band were husband and wife two- piece Doreen and Archie Price – whose tribute is to FRED and ROSE West!

Bemusement turned to anger as the pair played songs about the crimes of the House of Horrors duo.

After less than 20 minutes, the duo were forced off the GONE WEST: Killers Fred and Rose ( left) and pop band Go West pub’s stage in Camden, north London, under a barrage of jeers.

One Go West fan told Sunday Sport: “We were expecting to hear Call Me and King of Wishful Thinking.

“But we got a woman dressed as Rose West and a man in a Fred West wig singing about murder.”

Rose West is currently serving a full- life term at Low Newton prison for 10 murders. Fred committed suicide in 1995 before he came to trial.
