Hooker ban is ‘ sexist’

A CAMBRIDGE University economist claims banning prostitution is nothing short of blatant SEXISM!

Respected Victoria Bateman said women have as much right as men to make money from their bodies, pointing out that men have been praised for careers such as boxers and soldiers.

Writing in Times Higher Education magazine, Dr Bateman said: “The inconsistent treatment of a largely female profession compared with a largely male one is sexism under the cover of ‘well-meaning’ paternalism.

“The neglect of the sex trade is an eloquent symbol of fact women are under- represented among economists.”

In the UK, those over 18 can work alone and indoors providing sex and be paid for it, while running a brothel or selling on the street is illegal.
