Andy Hodgson Manchester THREE slapheads have been jailed after teaming up for a bank robbery – to fund their hair transplants.

Led by Herb Langley, the baldy trio hoped to raise more than £ 100K by stealing from a bank in Boise, Idaho.

Farmer Langley, 42, truck driver Kyle Prozniki, 45, and Robert Penn, 39, met on an internet support group for blokes with receding hairlines.

And after three years of helping each other through their troubles they decided to do something about it.

They researched how much cash they would each need for a hair transplant and planned how to get it.

Herb, who had served time in his 20s for drugs offences, came up with the plot to rob a bank and the three successfully got away with £ 120,000.

But before they could get their hair treatments Kyle’s wife Martina, 45, found out and called cops.

Police arrested all three and last week they pleaded guilty to armed robbery and were each sentenced SLAPPED DOWN: Herb Langley, Kyle Prozniki and Robert Penn to nine years in jail. A police source said: “This is a crime driven by vanity and undone by a woman’s honesty. These men were desperate to end the misery of their baldness and were willing to go to extremes to do so.

“Thankfully Martina Prozniki was brave enough to stand up for what’s right and called us in. Without her we may never have traced these men and they would be roaming free with illegally funded hair.

“I believe she is now in the process of getting divorced.”
