DOCTOR WHO & PRINCE PHILIP IN FISTING PHOTO SHOCK
EXCLUSIVE
CROWN JEWEL: Matt in Netflix hit show DOCTOR Who actor Matt Smith is to appear in a role that’s light years away from the Tardis – as a photographer famed for FISTING photos!
Matt, 35, who also plays Prince Philip in Netflix series The Crown, will play Robert Mapplethorpe, a snappa who shocked the Establishment with his XXX- rated photos of the New York S& M scene in the 79s and 80s.
Mapplethorpe died of the AIDS in 1989, aged 42, and now his photographs are sold for thousands of pounds in the trendy art markets of London and New York.
Before Mapplethorpe died, the Conservative politician Jesse Helms waved some of this photos around the U. S. Senate, in protest at federal arts finding being paid to galleries which exhibited the snaps.
Meanwhile, Matt says that playing a gay icon was an education.
He explained: “I did PENIS PICS FASCINATION: Matt, who will play snappa Robert ( Mapplethorpe as an endeavour of, well a) he’s a fascinating character, and b) there’s something about his photos that is just… who knew, as a straight man, that pictures of penises were so utterly compelling? But they are! And you don’t know why.”
One Matt Smith fan said: “He’s an excellent actor and can turn his hand to anything.”
The new film, scheduled for release next year, is directed by Ondi Timoner.
