A MAN got a frosty reception from cops when he was caught riding drunk on a motorised COOL BOX.

Lani Lewis Hunt was stopped by police in New Plymouth, New Zealand, after he was seen riding along the street atop the fourwheeled mobile chiller.

Hunt, who built the vehicle ( above) to carry beer to the beach, was breath tested and found to be twice the legal limit.

He admitted to drinking alcohol and stated that he had just gone to get some cigarettes and had not realised it was illegal to drive the motorised cooler on the road.

Hunt appeared in the New Plymouth District Court, where he pleaded guilty to drink- driving and driving without a licence.

The 35- year- old was fined but not disqualified from driving. FIGHT NIGHT: Beeb’s £ 16m battle drama SHE had the face that launched a thousand ships, the classical beauty whose kidnap sparked the mythical Trojan Wars.

And now the BBC are revisiting the ancient tale for a lavish Saturday night drama series rumoured to have cost a cool £ 16million.

Troy: Fall Of A City is an eight- part series portraying the epic story of a battle between mortals and gods.

It is written by David Farr, who penned the smash- hit Night Manager – and so far reviews have been good.

But no doubt they’d be even better if the leading ladies got their busters out.

They don’t in the show but, thanks to the magic of the Sunday Sport picture library, we can present Helen, Cassandra, Oenone and Hecuba without their togas.

One classicist said: “When I saw these pictures, I almost pulled the frigging end off – as Herodotus said of the Battle of Thermopylae!”
