UNITED READY NEYMAR BID

- By MARK NAYLOR

MANCHESTER United have put Neymar at the top of their summer shopping list.

Sources close to the Brazilian suggest he is 100% certain to leave Paris St Germain after the World Cup. That’s despite the French giants getting rid of manager Unai Emery who didn’t always see eye to eye with his star player.

Real Madrid were thought to be in driving seat to sign the 26- year- old but he’s not keen to take on former club Barcelona. And he has grown impatient with Zinedine Zidane, who has also been hinting at a summer bid for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.

Neymar would love to join his two close friends Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez at Old Trafford next season.

United are hoping his links to that high- profile pair can convince him to make the move.

Neymar makes a ridiculous amount of money at PSG — around £ 3,000 an HOUR!

Even by Premier League standards that is a massive wage but Jose Mourinho is prepared to match it for such a massive coup.

He knows United need to bring in some of the world’s best players to bridge the growing gap to noisy neighbours City.

The Portugeezer is not happy with the attacking options at his disposal and would like to offload Anthony Martial to help clear space in the wages budget.

French legend David Ginola believes the forward will want out of Old Trafford this summer anyway after missing out on Les Bleus’ World Cup squad.

Boss Didier Deschamps didn’t pick Martial because he’s spent too much time on the subs bench this season.

And Ginola believes the 22- yearold will want to change that quickly.

Regular

He said: “The main reason Anthony Martial is not in the squad is that you need to be a regular in your club before becoming a regular in your national team.

“Players like Martial need to play and score goals for the confidence, they need to be a regular.

“If he is not a regular at Manchester United he will probably search for another club and find one if he wants to.

“But I think Manchester United is a great club for him and it’s up to him to give more in training and in games.

“If Jose Mourinho doesn’t play him more regularly he probably thinks it’s because he doesn’t give his best all the time.

“I don’t see a manager like Mourinho not playing a player who can make him win games. It doesn’t work like that.”
