DEANO What have we done to deserve leaders like this?

BRITAIN in 1940 was facing defeat at the hands of one of history’s most monstrous regimes.

As we all know, a man was on hand to lead us to victory. Winston Churchill. But it was not just Churchill who led – he was surrounded by giants.

His right hand man, Labour’s Clement Attlee, had fought with valour at Gallipoli on the Western Front and would go on to be one of Britain’s greatest Prime Ministers himself. Fast forward to 2018. The country is facing a major jolt as we leave the European Union.

True, it’s nothing like the peril our nation faced in 1940 but it is a momentous moment. And who is leading the country? Theresa F** king May. Now, I’m sure Mrs May is a perfectly lovely lady. I’d have no qualms about her being, say, a school governor.

But she is leading negotiations to extract Britain from the morass of the EU. She’s dealing with crafty Europeans who see the UK’s departure as heresy which must be punished.

And Mrs May is making a right old bollocks of it.

After throwing away her parliamentary majority in an SHOWER OF SHIT: May and Corbyn unnecessary election, she is trying to deal with Europe while holding her administration together with the other hand.

Her mind is not, and cannot be, on the most important thing this country has faced in generations. But look at the alternative. Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour is split top to bottom and mired in rows over Jew- baiting. The party is infested with hate- filled Trots who think it’s fun to vandalise an MP’s home.

The leader and deputy leader are hardly on speaking terms. And the Liberals? Who cares? Can the Tories pull a new leader out of the hat? Boris? Not a chance. The man’s not even a Tesco Value Churchill. That’s where we are. This country is facing huge opportunities as we break free from the stifling restrictions of the EU.

But our political “heavyweights” seem hell- bent on steering us towards the rocks that lie ahead.

They say we get the politicians we deserve.

What the f** k have we done to deserve this shower of shit?
