ONE of the men busted in the cyber- hacking scandal that left naked photos of celebs like Jennifer Lawrence ( above) and Kate Upton circulating the web is begging a judge for leniency at his upcoming sentencing.

George Garofano, 26, whined that his life has been ruined since he hacked hundreds of celebrity iCloud accounts and insists he’s learned from his mistakes.

His plea follows a memo from federal prosecutors requesting he be sentenced to 10 to 16 months for the crime, following his admission of guilt for his part in what became known as “The Fappening”.

His lawyer Richard Lynch said: “Of course, he was old enough to know better even back then, that the conduct he was engaging in was wrong.

“But he now stands before the Court having matured, accepting responsibility for his actions.”

Garofano added: “It will take me a while to forgive myself for this, and I am disappointed in myself.”

“I feel remorse for anyone that could have been affected by this on any scale, public or private. It is a part of my life that I will always regret.”

Garofano, of Connecticut, pleaded guilty in April to a single charge of unauthorised access to a protected computer to obtain information. Experts hope that the controversial scheme – which will initially be restricted to just 400 hardened addicts – will also cut the number of overdoses.

Health officials are to draw up a list of eligible addicts to the receive so- called “heroin- assisted treatment” and it’s thought that FIGHTS have already broken out in the junkie community as Trainspotting- style users vie to make it onto the programme.

The Norwegian scheme will start in 2020 or 2021 and it’s thought UK ministers will monitor progress.

Norway’s Health Minister Bent Høie said: “We want to help those addicted who are difficult to reach and who are difficult to treat. He won’t be joining the Pile High Club!

“Addicts should be met with health care and respect, not with punishment and condemnation.

“We fully recognise that some users are not motivated to become drug- free. This group will now get a much better offer than before.”

Norway has one of the highest fatal overdose rates in Europe, with 80 per million people in 2015, putting it below only Estonia.
