DRUNK DROVE FOR A MILE WITH DEAD TRAMP IN PASSENGER SEAT

ALL NIGHT PARTY: Killer driver Sanchez A DRUNK motorist who drove for more than a MILE with the dead body of the homeless man she hit in the front seat of her car has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Esteysi Sanchez, 31, hit the man after drunkenly driving onto a pavement after a night of partying in 2016.

Prosecutors say that Jack Tenhulzen, 69, was struck so hard that he was knocked out of his trousers and shoes and one foot was severed.

His body smashed through the windscreen into the passenger seat.

Sanchez was later arrested outside her home after she walked away from her wrecked car with Tenhulzen still stuck inside it.

She was convicted in April of second- degree murder and a host of other charges.

Sanchez sobbed in court and apologised for the death. The victim’s niece, Lisa Francisco, told the sentencing hearing: “My uncle, the man that you murdered, was loved.

“He wasn’t a faceless person. I loved my Uncle Jack.”

Police say Sanchez smashed into Tenhulzen on the footpath in Oceanside, California, after drinking all night.

Tenhulzen’s leg also detached from his body and flew through the back window, landing on the boot of the car.

Witnesses said Sanchez got out of the car screaming when she arrived back in the road where she lived, then calmly walked indoors.

Neighbour Edgar Esparza saw the car with the body still on the windscreen.

The teenager then asked Sanchez what had happened, but she said everything was fine.

He added that her clothes suggested she had been on a night out.

Paramedics arrived and unsurprisingly pronounced Tenhulzen dead at the scene.
