Oh, and they’re also STARK NAKED! New York- based snappa Omar Z. Robles, 37, has been taking shots of ballet dancers for more than four years, from Melbourne to Rio de Janeiro.

He said: “Before being a photographer I studied and performed professionally as a mime artist. I found in photography a similar way of creating stories using only the visual language.

And for his latest photo series, titled Bare Sky Dance, Omar “shows a more vulnerable side to the art of dance by juxtaposing the urban, gritty environment of New York City rooftops against the nude and graceful bodies of ballet dancers”.

He explained: “The naked body speaks volumes to our fragile yet mystical and graceful existence.

“We are born naked and it was a naked act ( in most cases) that brought life to each and everyone of us.”

And in addition to the photos, Omar said he wanted the dancers to “become the voice of the image” so he explored the backgrounds of each of the dancers and uncovered why they were drawn to wanting to participate in the photoshoot.

One art critic said: “Sublime images which reveal the vulnerability of those small, firm breasts. Sploop!”
