Priests caught bumming in VW Beetle
TWO Catholic priests were nicked after being caught BUMMING in a parked rental car.
Diego Berrio, 39, and Edwin Cortez, 30, were charged with lewd and lascivious behaviour after passersby spotted their tryst in broad daylight inside a Volkswagen Beetle, which was “in full view of the public,” near Miami Beach, Florida.
After receiving a complaint, cops arrived at the scene to see “the sexual acts still going on”.
Officers were easily able to spot the two men, as the car was parked next to a playground and did not have tinted windows.
The two priests were so engaged that they didn’t notice police were there until officers tapped on the window.
It has not been revealed if the priests were wearing their priestly vestments when they were caught.
Actions
Berrio and Cortez are both from Arlington Heights, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
Berrio is a priest at Mission of San Juan Diego, while Cortez served at St. Aloysius Parish in Chicago.
Both were removed from the ministry and their actions have been reported to the Pope.
A spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Chicago said: “It is our responsibility to ensure those who serve our people are fit for ministry. We take this matter very seriously.”
Berrio has been released, but Cortez remains in custody.
