Top fashion designers beg her to wear their dresses, and when she does, her adoring public try to emulate her look with High Street imitations.
But Meghan’s followers will be stunned today when they see their idol pictured next to one of Britain’s most reviled women.
For the Duchess of Sussex, 37, seems to have BLATANTLY COPIED an outfit worn by newly- glamorous kidnap mum Karen Matthews!
Last month, mum- of- seven Matthews, 43, was snapped leaving a Mothercare store and looked a million miles from the lank- haired, slovenly oaf she was a decade ago when she hit headlines for staging her nine- year- old daughter Shannon’s abduction in a bid to blag a £ 50,000 cash reward.
Sporting a salon- fresh hairstyle, an on- trend checked shirt and a mega- fashionable Superdry bag, she looked like a Premier League WAG. In other words she looked GORGEOUS.
Then, just days later, Royal beauty Meghan appeared at a Windsor charity event in an almost IDENTICAL ensemble.
Fashion v- blogger Luke Llay was stunned when we showed him the pics.
He exclaimed: “What WAS Meghan thinking?
“OMG! One of the most watched women in the world matching her look with a low- life loser! I know that Karen has had an amazing makeover but REALLY. “Words fail me! Ouch!” A source close to the Duchess told Sunday Sport: “Meghan had not seen those photos of Miss Matthews and the matching outfits are a very unfortunate coincidence.”
Matthews was jailed for eight years in 2008 after being found guilty of kidnap, false imprisonment and perverting the course of justice with pal Michael Donovan.
Tragic Shannon – who turned 20 three weeks ago – vanished in Dewsbury Moor, West Yorkshire, prompting a month- long police search.
Karen Matthews and her boyfriend at the time, Craig Meehan, now 32, made several public appeals for help to find the schoolgirl and became infamous around the globe.
Shannon was found under a bed in Donovan’s seedy flat in nearby Batley Carr.
