THE TRUTH: Pair on show ( and Alice ( in a photo shoot ELEVEN years after he played in a Champions League final, ex- footie star Jermaine Pennant has appeared on The Jeremy Kyle Show.

Jermaine, 35, went on the daytime chat show with his glamour girl wife Alice Goodwin, 32, as the couple discussed his flirtatious behaviour with co- star Chloe Ayling, 21, in the Celeb Big Brother house this summer.

Their appearance sent Twitter into meltdown as fans were left reeling over how far Jermaine’s football career has seemingly fallen.

One fan posted the year Jermaine played in the prestigious final alongside his Jeremy Kyle stint with the caption: “Life hits you hard.”

Another penned: “You know how f** ked up the country is when an ex player is on the Jeremy Kyle stage.”

Alice told 53 - year- old host Jeremy that she was “upset” with Jermaine’s “childish” COMMENTS: Fans set Twitter alight ( and ( Jezza antics and flirty relationship with Chloe.

During his time in CBB, he hid his wedding ring and refused to say he was married but claimed it was “banter”.

Alice said: “I was pissed off because he acted immature in there. He acted a bit childish.

“Nothing physical went on, it got blown out of proportion. I was never going to leave him. He’s never cheated.”

However, the ex- footballer refused to do a lie detector test on the show.

When offered the test by Jeremy, Jermaine said: “No, no. I’m alright. I’m good. But I’m not coming on the show to do one.”

Though he wouldn’t take the test, he did reveal the kind of “banter” he and his pals got up to during the height of his playing career.

He told Jeremy and the audience that he once created an X- rated version of the board game Monopoly.

Jermaine said: “If you get with a girl and she gets with my friend the following week, he’s going to have to pay me rent.”
