LEADER: Putin ( and ( Hilda with her computer surveillance system A WOMAN who uncovered a secret Russian plot to invade Britain was stunned when she was arrested and told she faces PRISON.

Hilda Hughes was monitoring surveillance cameras she had secretly installed in the men’s changing rooms at her local gym, when she overheard “eastern European men” discussing what she described as “invasion stuff”.

Alarmed by this, 62- year- old divorcee Hilda called MI5 and the Ministry of Defence to report her concerns and offered to hand over her tapes as evidence.

But rather than getting a medal for thwarting Vladimir Putin’s conquest of Britain, Hilda got a visit from the police at her home in Skelmersdale, Lancs.

She told Sunday Sport: “The officers were asking how I’d come to have all this footage.

“I explained that I installed cameras in my local gym changing room showers because of all the East Europeans round here.

“It stands to reason that, with their background, they’ll start organising an invasion of this country sooner rather than later. It turns out I was right. It had nothing to do with their firm, tight bottoms and lovely big cocks.”

Hilda freely admits she had “not a clue” what the men were actually discussing but said that with their “suspicious tones and shifty ways, it was perfectly clear they were up to no good”.

Officers who attended Hilda’s bungalow seized more than 2,000 recordable DVDs.

It emerged that Hilda had also secretly installed cameras in three gentlemen’s lavatories and a Scout hut near her home.

She added: “I just wanted to do my bit to combat anti- social behaviour. I had no idea I’d catch an invasion plot on video. “But what thanks do I get? “A ruddy summons to appear at Crown Court on 29 counts of voyeurism, 12 counts of making an indecent item, 11 of electronic mischief and three of tampering.

“Some thanks for being so vigilant, eh?!”

Hilda will appear in court on November 15 where she will deny all charges on the grounds of national security.

A police source said: “Hilda Hughes is well- known to the authorities. The dirty old bugger – peeping at lads in the shower.

“Her mother was the same.”
