RIPPER SLAMS BREXIT DEAL

- By SIMON DEAN simon@ sundaysport. co. uk

IT’S the contentious issue that’s been on everyone’s lips… BREXIT! All week, you’ve not been able to get away from rolling news coverage of Theresa May’s bungling attempt to take Britain out of the EU.

It’s an issue that’s dividing Britain and few people are shy about sharing their opinion.

But we asked what some of Britain’s most notorious killers had to say about this hugely controversial subject...

DALE CREGAN

CREGAN, 35, is serving a whole life order in prison for four murders – including two Greater Manchester police officers – and three counts of attempted murder.

He may have only one eye but Dale can see choppy waters ahead.

He said: “If Britain crashes out of the EU with no deal, I shudder to think of the effect on our industry.”

PETER SUTCLIFFE

YORKSHIRE Ripper Peter Sutcliffe, 72, has been following every word of the Brexit developments from his prison cell at Frankland Jail, Durham, where he’s serving life.

He said: “This has been a shambles from beginning to end. I know it’s controversial but we should have a second referendum or Britain will get hammered.”

STEPHEN GRIFFITHS

CROSSBOW Cannibal Griffiths, 48, was sentenced to a whole life term after killing three sex workers in Bradford.

But he’s outraged at the £ 39bn “divorce bill” Britain will have to pay to the EU, saying: “That money should be going to the NHS, not into the already- bulging pockets of fatcat Brussels bureaucrats. It leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.”

JOANNA DENNEHY

DENNEHY is another murderer who’ll never breath free air again after being sentenced to a full life term after murdering three men in Peterborough.

She raged: “The Chequers Deal is a slap in the face to the 17.4million who voted for Brexit – we want a real Brexit, not this farcical fudge.”

ROSE WEST

ALONG with her mop- haired husband Fred, Rose West murdered 10 young women at the evil House of Horrors in Gloucester and is serving out a full- life term at Low Newton jail in Co Durham.

She admires Theresa May’s staying power. Rose, 64, said: “How she stood in the Commons for three hours on Thursday and took all that abuse, I’ll never know.”

STEVE WRIGHT

UNLIKE his Radio 2 DJ namesake, Wright, 60, is serving life for killing five sex workers during his “Anglia Strangler” rampage in 2006.

Now he’s concerned that the continuing uncertainty is damaging inward investment, explaining: “Foreign businesses will not want to invest in the UK, going forward.”
