VILE RANTS: Garnett rants drunkenly at neighbours A MAN has pleaded guilty to racially abusing one of his neighbours by leaving signs on her washing line saying “Die, you n**** r”.

Frank Garnett has been “terrorising” neighbours for the past two months by swilling lager and bellowing his own sick version of the Tom Jones hit Delilah.

Hull Magistrates’ Court heard that the vile abuses of Garnett, 70, were so bad, the left many “in fear of going out”, and some who now “daren’t move” inside their own homes.

His neighbours in the quiet cul- de- sac in Hull, have spoken out about the “bad man”, but have asked to remain anonymous due to fear of reprisals.

“For the past two months he has made everyone feel afraid to go out,” said one man.

“He has been targeting everyone, but in particular two women. He has been in the street calling one of them a black n**** r b***** d, and even hung up a sign on her washing line saying ‘ Die, you n**** r’.”

“He’s called another woman an evil witch. He put up a sign outside her house that said ‘ evil dragon’.”

Garnett committed the offences between July 19 and 27, with neighbours blaming his behaviour on alcohol.

“He sits in his flat and just drinks that extra strength Polish lager,” one of them said.

“There’s no mental health problems, he’s just a bad man.

“He was on the green outside our flats the other night singing Delilah by Tom Jones, but he had changed the lyrics to say we were all going to go to the crematorium and the coffins were ready.

“I sit in my flat and try not to move just in case I disturb him and set him off.”

The residents are hopeful this recent conviction will be enough evidence to have him removed from the street.

Garnett is due back in court on August 27.
