NONCE IN DRAG CAUGHT IN SCHOOL

-

A SEX offender banned from going near schools has been jailed after he was caught walking along a college corridor dressed as a woman.

Cops were called in after staff spotted Geoffrey Rainey Kelly wandering around having gained entry by a side door.

Kelly, 35, who was also wearing a blonde wig, was trying door handles to rooms but did not enter any.

Confronted by staff, he claimed to be looking for a third- year female pupil, providing a name, but the school register was checked and no child of that name was a pupil at St Ciaran’s College in Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

His behaviour was a breach of a previous Sexual Offences Order which bans Kelly from coming within 25 caption in here please yards of schools.

Handing Kelly a four- month sentence at Dungannon Magistrates Court, the judge told him his actions were “a premeditated action to gain entry”, and deemed the punishment “necessary to protect the public.”

A defence lawyer described his client as “a complicated character, who is entitled to dress as he likes but not behave as he does”.

He had been in custody since first appearing at the court last month, where bail was refused.

Kelly, of Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone, has previous convictions including two sexual assaults in 2016 and 2017 – both while wearing women’s clothing.

He also has a conviction for indecent exposure to a teenager in 2017, which occurred in a boutique, where a teenage girl was working.
