RIEND, WE PROFILE… HUMAN FLESH EATING MONSTERS

-

A MAN ate his ex- girlfriend’s brain, heart and lung after opening her skull with a saw, say sickened cops.

As reported in our sister paper Midweek Sport on Wednesday, Joseph Oberhansley, 38, is accused of stabbing Tammy Jo Blanton, 46, to death at her home in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

The so- called ‘ Cannibal Killer’ admitted to the crimes, including “cooking a section of her brain and eating it”, after his arrest.

Oberhansley – who now insists he is innocent – reportedly used an electric jigsaw to open Miss Blanton’s skull and ribcage to get at her organs.

The case, which is yet to go to trial, has horrified the USA, but there have been plenty of other shockers over the years.

Here are some other gory memorable cannibal cases that have horrified the world... THE ACCUSED: Oberhansley and ‘ victim’ Tommy Jo DEAD HUNGRY: Hannibal Lecter was only fiction, these are real... IN the summer of 1991, Jeffrey Dahmer was on probation after serving time for fondling a young boy, but his overworked probation officer never visited his Milwaukee apartment.

Police were called when a 14- year- old boy tried to escape Dahmer’s clutches, but the sicko somehow managed to convince officers that the boy was an adult and the situation was a lover’s quarrel.

The cops left Konerak Sinthasomphone, who did not speak English, in Dahmer’s hands. He was never seen alive again.

But later, when another victim, Tracey Edwards, was seen running screaming from Dahmer’s apartment, police investigated – and found a house of horrors.

In Dahmer’s flat were body parts that had once belonged to 11 people.

Some were found in the fridge and freezer, some packed into a barrel of acid, and some were dried and cleaned to be souvenirs.

In his horror confession, Dahmer alluded to cannibalism and sexual acts with the deceased bodies, activities he expanded on in a 1994 interview.

He pleaded insanity but was convicted and sentenced to life terms for each of 15 murders. He later pleaded guilty to another murder he’d committed in Ohio.

In 1994, another prison inmate bludgeoned Dahmer to death with an iron bar.
