Rosanna... you need a lie down

It really is home of the world’s troubled- of- mind, isn’t it?

Last week we had the spectacle of the great and the good of the showbiz world jetting off to Sicily in a fleet of 114 private jets to attend a conference on… climate change.

A while back we had Hollywood royalty Emma Thompson jetting into London from LA to join the Extinction Rebellion protests and to lecture us about flying in aeroplanes.

Now, of course, that sort of behaviour could be filed under “hypocrisy” – but I think it’s kinder to just think of these pampered preachers as a little bit out of touch with reality.

But last week Rosanna Arquette came out with some bollocks that made me think she’s a candidate for the backwards waistcoat and a trip somewhere quiet and relaxing.

Taking to Twitter – the natural habitat of the halfwit – Arquette blathered: “I’m sorry I was born white and privileged. It disgusts me. And I feel so much shame.” Wow! That level of self- hatred is rare outside of locked wards and I reckon someone should be keeping an eye on little Rosanna in case she does something silly.

Only Rosanna is not “little”.

She is 59 f** king years old, for Christ’s sake.

This daft bint is almost old enough to get a bus pass and she’s yelping like a 14- year- old girl on her first protest march. For the love of f** k, woman! Nobody gives a shit that you feel “shame” at being white.

Her subtext, of course, is that any white person who feels strongly enough about the evils of racism or slavery in the olden days should feel equally ashamed. No, sorry, Roxy. I don’t. For f** k’s sake, I’ve done enough shameful stuff in my own life to feel guilty about without taking the responsibility for long- dead slave owners on my shoulders.

And I’d be interested to know how many black people in America – the ones who suffer real discrimination – feel about a rich white woman jumping up and down, signalling her half- arsed virtue, screaming “ME, ME, ME!”

Tell you what. If daft Arquette and her liberal “progressive” crawlers on both sides of the Atlantic feel so bad about being white, why don’t they black up and go on a black power march.
