Brian – a one- time swimming coach – sighed: “Just because of a couple of misunderst­andings – mainly caused by over- zealous park keepers and a couple of neurotic parents – I’m simply not allowed to go in the park.

“It’s not my fault that once or twice my trousers have fallen down while I’ve been on the swings. I have a slender hip.

“And that business in the sandpit was completely blown out of proportion by the local paper. I think that ‘ The Beast of the Pit’ was a wholly sensationa­list nickname to give me.

“That was probably why the judge gave me such a lengthy sentence.”

Brian says that the park ban – imposed last month after “an overreacti­on to a perfectly natural function” on a slide – came after a campaign against him on social media.

The one- time dance troupe instructor said: “The unfair thing is that I was unable to see what people were saying about me as I am not allowed to own or use a computer after I downloaded what I thought was a pirate version of the 1987 vampire movie The Lost Boys – but turned out to be something very different.”

Brian says that he hopes to take his case to the High Court in London in March “once I’m allowed to use the trains again.”
