After waiting in a queue almost a mile long, he’d got into Berghain, Berlin’s trendiest nightclub.
The vast club, in a former power station on the outskirts of the German capital, is famous for its outrageous nights.
Punters wait for hours to be admitted and even reaching the front of the queue is no guarantee of getting in.
So Ken, 46, was cock- a- hoop when the bouncers waved him through the door.
But in the dark cellars of Berghain a stinky secret awaits the unwary – for this is where the infamous ‘ Nutella’ parties are held – which have NOTHING to do with the hazelnut chocolate spread.
Ken, of Biddulph, Staffs, but now resident in Berlin said: “I got a bit lost and ended up in the cellars. I heard this noise and found myself in a room where men were PLOPPING on each other.
“I thought, ‘ Oh my God! A genuine Berlin scat dungeon!’ I thought they were an urban myth.”
But there was an even bigger surprise for unmarried Ken.
He said: “Before I left – the smell was indescribable – I saw a face I recognised.
“He was on the floor, covered in plop but I recognised him straight away – he’s a regular extra on Coronation Street!”
Today we can reveal that Ken had seen Probert Henderson.
