THE world is in the grip of a killer flu that, even if you don’t catch it, will reduce us all to serfdom for the rest of our lives.

China, the cesspit where the contagion emerged, is flexing its muscles.

The USA is being run by an increasingly eccentric President who tweets while his nation burns.

And what is exciting the vacuous nincompoops who are hooked to Twitter like a piglet is attached to a sow’s teat?

The bird off Killing Eve.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed Killing Eve, a BBC series about a female assassin with a sideline in lesbianism, and the lady who plays said assassin, Brit Jodie Comer, is a very attractive lady.

But Killing Eve is a work of fiction, a piece of entertainment.

Not so for the chin- stroking classes who immediately hailed Comer’s character, Villanelle, as a feminist icon.

It says a lot about feminism that one of their heroines is a coldblooded serial killer.

Do these soppy c** ts hold Rose West and Myra Hindley in such high esteem?

The dreary liberal website Salon called Killing Eve a “feminist thriller”, calling it a “perfect show for the # MeToo era”, saying that it “slakes one’s desire to see piggish misogynists get what’s coming to them”.

Killing Eve tickled the leathery clits of every virtue- signalling, right- on twat on the planet.

That rubbed off on Jodie Comer, especially when she released a video in which she read out part of a letter written by mega- lezza Vita Sackville- West and declared her support for various right- on causes. So far, so f** king tiresome.

But then it emerged that Jodie “might” be dating a 26- year- old lacrosse player called James Burke who “might” have voted for Donald Trump.

Never have leftards performed such a swift reverse ferret.

One tweeted: “Jodie Comer, if you’re reading this, you can’t play a gay character and call yourself an ally when you’re dating a Republican, you disgusting piece of shit.”

Another posted: “Jodie Comer dating a Trump supporter, while portraying an LGBT character ... is not only wrong but disgusting.” Etc, etc, ad infinitum…

OK, so who gives a f** k?

But here’s the thing.

If the ‘ Woke’ left will turn so viciously on someone who has publicly declared themselves an “ally”, what hope for the rest of us?

And the leftards are not all daft little girls stamping their feet on Twitter. People have been forced from their jobs because they’ve done the “wrong” thing or uttered the “wrong” sentiment.

How many of us have watched a documentary on the rise of the Nazis and thought: “How did this happen?”

It happened just like this, people. This – the madness we live in today – is how it happened.
