MY HUBBY LOOKS LIKE BO SELECTA, BUT HE’S

HUGH Pimbert was born with what can only be called an “interestin­g” face.

Suffering from a rare genetic condition, his facial features are exaggerate­d and outsized, like a cartoon character.

That led to a fair amount of teasing and bullying growing up in Wigton, Cumbria.

But brave Hugh, 48, battled on and when comic Leigh Francis came up with the Bo Selecta TV show in the early noughties, Hugh made a good living as a “Living Bo Selecta” tribute.

He married wife Janet, had four kids and the family moved to a fine £ 200,000 home on the outskirts of town.

Hugh told a local newspaper in 2010: “All those kids who mocked me must be pretty sick now as I’m the one with the biggest conservato­ry in all of Wigton.”

But earlier this year, disaster struck.

In the wake of BLM hysteria, it was decided that Bo Selecta – which had provoked mirth for almost two decades – was RACIST!

Worse for Hugh, his FACE was suddenly racist!

With Hugh now in a deep gloom that has him locked in his conservato­ry, it’s left to loyal Janet to fight his corner.

The feisty Carlisle lass raged: “These idiots who call my Hugh racist because he’s got a face like a Bo Selecta character are idiots.

“There’s no way my Hugh is racist. You know who his favourite singer is? R Kelly. And his favourite TV programme? The Cosby Show!

“How can a man who likes R Kelly and Bill Cosby be a racialist?”
