Evil prank in the Chinese factory

-

SCROLLING through the internet, mum Dawn Purvis came across the ideal treat for daughter Rihanna.

For the princely sum of just £ 1.49 an online retailer was offering a helium balloon embossed with the legend I’M 5 TODAY.

Having already spent many hundreds of pounds on gifts for Rihanna’s fifth birthday – including an Xbox, a new mobile phone and a luxury pampering day at a spa – which cannot be named for legal reasons – Dawn, 27, was glad of the bargain.

But, as the saying goes, if something looks too good to be true, it probably is.

And so it was in this case. For when the balloon arrived and floated out of its box, Dawn realised with horror that it bore the words WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE.

And poor little Rihanna was so upset that she hurled her new Xbox through the front window, stamped on her new mobile and screamed at Dawn: “I hope YOU die, BITCH!”

Exasperated Dawn, of Stoke- on- Trent, sighed:

“I thought the balloon would be something nice. I thought it was a bit cheap but just about everything we get these days is cheap and Chinese, so I didn’t give it much thought.

“In the end, though, it ruined the whole day.

“I tried contacting the company to explain but the phone number I had was disconnected.

“I want compo!”

Sunday Sport managed to contact the manufacturers,

HELIUM HORROR: Dawn with Rihanna and the ‘ prank’ balloon

China- based Very Good OK Yes Novelty Co, but all we got in response to our polite request was a stream of godless Oriental cackling down the phone.
