CLASS ACT: Woodwork at school

BUNGLING Education Secretary Gavin Williamson may be in the shit over the exams fiasco but he suffered even worse indignity at school.

Because a former schoolmate claims that he once SHAT himself during a woodworking lesson!

Mark Prentice was in the same year as

Williamson at Raincliffe

School in Scarborough,

North Yorks.

And Mark, 44, claims the only thing he recalls about the young Gavin is the plopping palaver.

Mark – who’s now a second- hand book dealer and solid Labour voter – laughed: “It’s not something you’d forget, is it?”

He explained: “We were in the fourth year so I suppose we were about 14 or 15.

“The teacher was showing us how to make mortice joints and so we were all beavering away with our tenon saws.

“He spotted that Gavin was making a particular hash of his joint and went over to help him.

“Gavin was such a shy boy that he got very nervous as everyone was looking at him and sniggering.

“Without warning, he let out a wet fart and it was clear that some matter had been ejected. The smell... well, it was indescribable.

“The lads laughed like drains but the girls were horrified and a couple started crying.

“Gavin ran from the room and from that day on he was known as Shitty Williamson.”

Williamson, also 44, has apologised after exam bosses marked down 40 per cent of Alevel students’ estimated grades, dashing uni hopes for many.

He was later forced into a U- turn but has refused to resign over the shambles.
