SLEEP PARALYSIS

-

“I was so scared. Sometimes you just get a feeling in there when you know something awful is about to happen.

“I went upstairs, carrying the ironing, and I saw a man at the top of the stairs, looming over Jesse’s cot!

“That was it for me. I felt like my baby was in danger. I just had to get out of there for good, even though I’ve been paying the mortgage on an empty property ever since.

“There’s got to be very good reason when a single female with a good job leaves a house and moves miles and miles away.

“Because of this, I’ve been skint for years.”

In desperate need of money, Vanessa had repeatedly tried to rent out The Cage – with each new set of tenants lasting no longer than a few months.

In a last- ditch bid to raise funds to pay the mortgage, Vanessa opened the doors to a string of paranormal groups, eager to see one of her spooks.

Several ‘ ghost hunters’ tramping through Vanessa’s house have reported being physically ATTACKED by an angry spirit.

TERRIFIED: Vanessa was finally forced to leave the cottage

And Vanessa isn’t surprised, having been assaulted by an unseen enemy on countless occasions herself.

She shuddered: “One morning I was brushing my teeth, getting ready for work, when I got hit unbelievably hard on my bum as I was bending over the sink. I was screaming in pain.

“On another occasion I was pushed in the back when I was standing in the top hallway. And I would lie in bed at night, hearing them come up the stairs – watching in abject fear as my bedroom door latch rattled as if

UNEXPLAINED: A ‘ ghost’ caught on camera in estate agent’s photo someone was trying to force it open.

“Sometimes I’d even hear a growl – a dark hostile noise that didn’t like me and that wanted me gone.

“In the end, the house won.” Amazingly, even the estate agents – who it seems have finally found a buyer for The Cage – have been spooked while visiting it, having captured strange ‘ orbs’ – unexplained balls of light – in their brochure photographs.

Their ad on Rightmove. co. uk reads: “We believe the ideal purchaser for this property would be someone in the paranormal industry.”

And the 64- year- old says: “The idea some kind of consciousness could survive bodily death is completely at odds with modern neuroscience.

“One explanation for seeing ghosts could be sleep paralysis episodes, which can occur between sleep and wakefulness.

“The sufferer is temporarily paralysed and may experience a strong sense of presence and a variety of bizarre hallucinations. Although it can be terrifying, sleep paralysis is essentially harmless.”
