BBC TO BAN CHRISTMAS!

Diversity bosses argue that Santa’s unpaid elves are ‘problematic’ slaves

NEW BBC director- general Tim Davie faces a fresh battle – to save Christmas!

His first job since taking over as the Beeb’s top man was to end the Proms scandal by making a U- turn on the decision not to sing the lyrics of Land of Hope and Glory and Rule, Britannia.

Despite the best efforts of the BBC diversity snowflakes to have our beloved anthems silenced, Mr Davie boldly stood up to them and told them to f** k off.

Now these leftie minions are plotting their revenge and they’ve got their eyes on Christmas!

They want the traditional BBC Christmas festive programming banned because elves symbolise oppressed slave workers taken advantage of by a profiteering Santa Claus who has probably trafficked them to the North Pole illegally.

One BBC insider said: “Let’s see Davie try to stop us with this

one. We’re determined to get our own back for him caving in to the fascist right- wingers who want to sing about our shameful past at the Proms.”

Leaked

The BBC plan to ban Christmas was contained in an internal memo from a member of the Beeb’s Diversity and Inclusion Way Forward Group which was leaked to the Sunday Sport.

The memo states: “There is no record of Santa’s helpers – the elves – being paid. That means they are effectively slaves. “Condoning slavery at a time when the BBC is reexamining and challenging Britain’s colonial and slave- trading past is particularly problematic.”

Last night Terry Furey of the pressure group Finish the Beeb, raged: “Where do they find these people? Have they got nothing better to do with their time than sit on their pimply behinds coming out with dross like this? It makes my blood boil.”

It’s not the first time that the BBC’s Diversity and Inclusion Way Forward Group has been in the news. Set up in June, it was originally called the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force.

But £ 50,000 worth of specially stationery had to be binned after complaints that the words “Task Force” were “too militaristic”.

Licence fee- payers have expressed outrage after the BBC buggered about with the songs Land of Hope and Glory and Rule Britannia for this year’s Last Night of the Proms. Following public outcry and Mr Davie’s U- turn, the lyrics to the songs will now be sung on the Last Night.
