ARSENAL PUT SORRY SEVEN UP FOR SALE

- By ANDY MILLOM

ARSENAL boss Mikel Arteta is getting ready to boot SEVEN players out of the club.

The Spaniard has launched a mass clearout with midfielder Lucas Torreira one of the higher profile stars to go. He is on his way to Italian side Fiorentina on loan ahead of a permanent deal.

The Uruguay schemer is still only 24 and Arsenal shelled out £ 26m to Sampdoria two years ago. They wlll be lucky to get all of that fee back.

Sokratis Papastahopoulos is the next cab off the rank with Napoli interested in the defender.

The Italians will be looking for new faces at the back with Kalidou Koulibaly expected to leave — with Man City his most likely next club.

Full- back Hector Bellerin is on the verge of signing for Paris St Germain in a £ 30m deal.

Sead Kolasinac, Calum Chambers, Skhodran Mustafi and Rob Holding are also up for sale as Arteta makes big changes across his defensive line.

He will pair David Luiz with new arrival Gabriel Magalhaes this season so is looking to ditch his fringe players.

Kolasinac is close to moving to Germany where Schalke and Bayer Leverkusen are both in the hunt.

The Bosnian stopper came from Schalke in the first place and is likely to head back to a club where he’s enjoyed plenty of success.

The sticking point could be his price with Leverkusen prepared to shell out £ 15m, which is £5m more than their rivals.

And Napoli have declared an interest in him too and could grab Kolasinac and Sokratis in a double deal.

Chambers is likely to stay in the Premier

League with new boys Leeds up for a £ 12m swoop.

The Yorkshiremen have been in touch with the Gunners and the 25- yearold is keen on the switch.

Mustafi is yet another Arsenal player the Italian press are linking with Napoli. But the German’s recent injury record could put off suitors.

He hasn’t played since ripping his hamstring tendon away from the bone in the FA Cup semifinal win over City in July.

Another sticking point is his repored £300,000 a week wages along with the fact that he can go for a free transfer next summer when his contract runs out.
