For the first time teenage NXIVM slave reveals truth on forced sex, naked photos and the smell of branded flesh
A FORMER slave from a bizarre Hollywood sex cult has revealed for the first time what life was like inside the sect.
Actress India Oxenberg was 19 when she fell under the spell of NXIVM leader Keith Raniere after signing up for a self help session in 2011.
She had no idea what she was getting into and ended up brainwashed by Smallville star Allison Mack who became her “master” and groomed her into becoming a sex slave for Raniere.
She said: “It was a trap and a ploy for Keith to enslave women for his own sexual desires.”
India, now 29 – daughter of Dynasty actress Catherine Oxenberg – said everything changed when Mack took four girls on a weekend trip to the country, claiming it was “just for fun”.
As soon as they got there, Mack made them strip naked and took a photo of them which she texted to Raniere.
“All mine?” he replied, with a devil face emoji.
When one of them complained they should not be doing this for Raniere’s titillation, Mack made them pose for more explicit pics.
Raniere singled out India for special attention, regularly demanding she text him explicit photos of herself.
“Keith told me that sending these photos was a practice in pushing myself out of my comfort zone,” she said.
Demands
She never questioned his demands, saying: “I believed the things they were having me do were, at their core, good.”
Then she was coerced into sex with Raniere.
Mack told her that her next assignment was to “seduce Keith” – another act, she said, that would “push her past her comfort zone and make her stronger”.
India revealed: “The relationship took a different turn and then became sexual when I was commanded to do a seduction assignment.
“That was the start of the sexual abuse and I
didn’t see it as that at the time.”
She now says the predator groomed and raped her, adding it was the first in a series of deeply unsettling sexual encounters that continued for a year.
“They were so clinical – it was like going to the doctor,” she said.
And afterwards she was branded with Keith Raniere’s initials in a suburban house in a “bonding ceremony”.
She and the other women were told the symbol burned onto their skin represented the elements – when in fact, it was Raniere’s initials.
India added: “We were sleep deprived, starved, and coerced. You don’t just decide to be branded.”
Raniere was convicted of sex trafficking and illegal porn charges.
He is in prison and awaiting sentencing.
