Things you might not know about JOE BIDEN
SO, barring disaster – or Donald Trump bribing the entire US judiciary – Joe Biden will become President of the United States in January.
It’s been a very “interesting” campaign, to say the least.
But what do we know about the elderly gent mocked as “Sleepy Joe” by his somewhat coarse opponent?
Here are some facts you may not know…

AT school his old classmates mocked him for his debilitating stammer. They would call him “bye- bye” when he attempted to say his last name.

HE played American Football at Archmere Academy – a Catholic prep school. He played wide receiver and running back, catching an impressive 19 touchdown passes.

A YOUNG Biden finished law school at Syracuse University and was then drafted for service in the Vietnam War. But he failed the medical due to his asthma.

AT 77, he will be the oldest president ever inaugurated. Before him, the record was held by Donald Trump, who was 70 when he took office.

HE first ran for president in 1987. In 2008, he ran for president a second time before dropping out to become Barack Obama’s running mate. He made a gaffe by describing Obama as “the first mainstream African- American who is articulate and bright and clean”.

MR Biden lost his first wife Neilia and baby daughter Naomi in a car accident in 1972. His two sons
Beau and Hunter were also in the vehicle but survived. His eldest son Beau, died of brain cancer in 2015.
