Cops arrest beast who chopped up trans wig maker DIVERS FIND HER LEGS WRAPPED IN BIN BAG
A FUGITIVE wanted for allegedly murdering and chopping up a transgender woman has been arrested – five months after the crime, police have revealed.
Akhenaton ‘ Akh’ Jones, 36, was taken into custody for the June 7 stabbing death of 27- year- old Dominque ‘ Rem’mie’ Fells, whose dismembered body was found the following day on the banks of a river.
The connection between Jones and Fells was not immediately clear and a police spokesman said that information has not yet been disclosed by detectives.
Charges of murder, possession of an instrument of crime, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse against Jones were announced in early July.
Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said in a statement: “The murder of Dominque Fells constituted yet another act of hate and violence against a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
“We are deeply disturbed by the facts of this case, and extend our deepest sympathy to Ms Fells’ family, friends, and the entire LGBTQ + community.”
Fells, who lived in Philadelphia’s south- west area, moved there from York, Pennsylvania.
She had died from multiple stab wounds,
and her body was found on a trail on the bank of the Schuylkill River, with her legs severed and trauma to her face and head, police said.
Police divers later found Fells’ legs inside a rubbish bag at the bottom of the river during an unrelated search for two missing teenagers.
Fells worked as a freelance fashion designer, making wigs and outfits.
Jones was finally tracked down to Los Angeles, California, where he is being held pending extradition to Pennsylvania
