- MANCHESTER United can rock the Premier League by winning at Anfield today.

The Red Devils are the clear form team in the division and have just extended their unbeaten run to an impressive 11 games.

That run has included good away wins at Everton and Southampton as well as trips they should be winning like Burnley and Sheffield United.

At the same time, Liverpool have stuttered and are looking for their first Premier League victory in four outings.

And they haven’t exactly been taking on their major rivals in that run.

Record

Being held to draws by West Brom and Newcastle is poor especially when you look at their results lately.

Even Sheffield United have managed to see off the Toon but Jurgen Klopp’s boys were well below par at St James’s Park.

The Reds have an incredible home record in the league and haven’t lost at Anfield in almost three years.

That run has to end some time and United would love to be the ones to do it.

Full credit to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who has found a way of getting Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba into the same team without losing their defensive solidity. Hopefully the Norwegian will have the bottle to play his big two midfielders again.

That’s because Liverpool can be pressed in the middle of the park and it could be three home players against five from the visitors.

And United have plenty of pace to test out a patched up home rearguard.

It will be interesting to see if Joel Matip can play alongside the excellent Fabinho.

If he can’t the likes of Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams are slow and can be ripped apart by the pace of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Liverpool look a short price at even money for the win. It’s a tempting 11/ 4 for the draw but United make more sense at the same odds.

It will be hard to stop Liverpool scoring but the visitors can take this 2- 1. That is on offer with the bookies at 12/ 1 which looks pretty fair.

If that’s too risky, you could always have a saver on the 1- 1 scoreline at 8/ 1.

School dinner crusader Rashford can be the man to do the damage. He is a fair price at 5/ 2 to hit the target at any time during the game.

We’ll see what difference this game makes to the Premier League market — but United are sure to be a lot shorter than the 7/ 1 they were before kickoff.

Option

Manchester City are 4/ 6 to lift the title and they can take a step closer with what should be a comfortable win at home to Crystal Palace.

Roy Hodgson has no option but to come and try to strangle Pep’s lads — just like last year when they landed a sensational win at the Etihad.

A repeat of that is unlikely which is why the bookies have chalked up 1/ 6.

Probably the best way to make a fair profit out of this match is to back Man City to win both halves at 23/ 20 with a couple of firms.

City 4- 0 is the pick of the corect scores at 9/ 1 generally.
