DID THIS WOMAN EAT HER HUSBANDS?

UNLUCKY-IN-LOVE ANNABELLE SCOFFS AT CANNIBAL RUMOURS

- SUNDAY SPORT EXCLUSIVE By SIMON DEAN

BIG- BONED Annabelle Watson is on the prowl for love after being abandoned by not one but TWO previous hubbies.

But the bubbly abattoir worker feels the need to insist: “I did not EAT my two former husbands!”

Annabelle, 44, from Chirk, Denbighshire, admits she has been unlucky in love up to now, despite having what she calls a “good sense of humour”.

She said: “My first husband, Alex, was a lot older than me when we wed. I was only 30 and he was 53.

“Soon after we got married, I realised we were very different people – but I wanted to make it work.

“Then one day, he vanished. Not a morsel – sorry – trace of him was ever found.

“I was heartbroken, as you can imagine.”

Five years later, Annabelle met David, who was closer to her own age.

She said: “I knew that David was a vegetarian when we met, but I thought I could live with that.

“He tried to convert me to his bizarre cult but I was having none of it. There were arguments about it, but nothing too serious.”

Speaking in her living room, tastefully decorated with pictures of Hannibal Lecter and Yank serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, Annabelle said: “And then he just vanished too.

Ugly

“The police listed him as a missing person, but there has not been one sighting of him.”

Annabelle said after David’s flit, ugly rumours started circulating around the close- knit town of Chirk.

She said: “The locals started calling me Annabelle the Cannibal and whispering that I’d eaten both husbands.

“That’s just plain offensive. Just because I’m a big girl, have an intellectual interest in cannibal serial killers and am highly skilled at dismembering, that’s no reason to smear me as a flesh- eating monster.”

Turning to the future, Annabelle said: “Now I’m ready for a new man in my life. And I promise not to eat him!

“Only joking. I have NOT eaten my two previous husbands. I haven’t, I promise.”
